Friends, which spring flowers are you enjoying in your area?
One of my favourites is in its glory right now here in southwestern New Brunswick - the bluet. These delicate-appearing little flowers look so cheerful, and they seem to be able to grow almost anywhere!
So today's card is inspired by the tiny bluet:
My bluet card features the Four Season Floral / Les Saisons en fleurs stamp set. At just $12.60, it's a bargain! I'll include a clickable photo supply list at the end of this post.
This stamp set is a great year-round option for avid crafters. And it's perfect for beginning stampers or as a gift to introduce a friend to stamping.
Here's a look at the English version of the set:
To make this card, I first stamped the bluets in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock. Then I coloured them with Stampin' Blends™ alcohol markers in Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Lemon Lolly.
Next, I die cut the middle-sized scalloped rectangle from Scalloped Contours Dies out of Basic White Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in Balmy Blue Ink onto the left bottom of the die cut.
The Scalloped Contours Dies are one of my regular go-to's, they're so useful in so many projects. All of the dies except the largest rectangle will work in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
The rest of the card was a matter of assembly. I adhered a 3" x 4 1/2" panel of Lemon Lolly paper from the Subtles 6"x6" DSP to a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" panel of Balmy Blue Cardstock.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I added the scalloped rectangle to the panels and the panels to a note card from the Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes. These cards & envelopes are a terrific item to have on hand, as the cards are already cut for you. They come in a pack of 20 for $11.
With Mini Stampin' Dimensionals™, I added the bluets to the card.
Using Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon, I tied a bow and secured it to the flower stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
My final step was to embellish with Lemon Lolly gems from the Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.
Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you enjoyed the project.
